Week 3 Update: Back on Track
Alright, I’m a complete toad and forgot what week of the challenge we are on. I recorded this whole video to recap Week 3 and right now it’s ACTUALLY WEEK 4! Ugh.
So here is just a quick recap of Week 3 and hopefully I’ll still get a video in for Week 4 this weekend.
BACK ON TRACK: Week 2 was rough so it was great to come back and home and be in control of my schedule and food again. I felt a lot better during Week 3 in regards to my outlook on the challenge and what I’m taking from it. Falling behind in points – down 14 or so – really forced me to let go of the point obsession. And that’s a good thing, I think!
The bonus challenge for Week 3 was drinking buckets of water every day. And I made tons of potty trips every day, and even throughout the night. :-/ I’ve never felt more hydrated!
What I’ve realized about the weekly challenges is that, after focusing on that for a week (whether it’s being “That guy” at a restaurant and asking what’s in the food or the meditation or the water), I find that I don’t necessarily STOP doing those things once that week is over. I’ve been “That guy” at the restaurant several times since Week 1. I’m still drinking more water every day than I was before Week 3. Awesome.
Anyway, I’m off to San Francisco today (maybe I can squeeze in my Week 4 recap on the road). Would love for you to follow the weekend fun of Nike Women’s Marathon @RunningHutch on Twitter and Instagram. Also, check out #runnwm and #inspireforwomen to see what others are up too!
